Hello! Name’s Sofia, with a gazillion nicknames my friends come up with. I’m an asian-br third-culture kid who spent a huge chunk of her life moving around. Excuse me as I pack my bags and move to another country every time I have a Major Life Issue to deal with, hehe.

Tbh, pre-pandemic I was just about staying put in São Paulo due to a very stable job and finally deciding to settle somewhere longer so I could, maybe, try and find a community. Then came the pandemic and I realised that I was oh-so-wrong in trying to make the part of me that hates settling go away.

Because I grew up moving around my whole life, writing and journaling online have always been my comfort zone, a way to keep my friends updated in a time without social media (and when the content I created actually belonged to me). For years, my besties were my doggo, a digital Sony Cyber Shot camera and the extremely slow computer we had in my parents’ library which allowed me to post on a blog I had under a pseudonym (after all, I was a kid) since 2007.

Then life slowly started to happen, and, with work, studies, me turning off everything that made me ME so I could just survive and make it to the next day, and the ever increase of screen time in my routine, I’ve drifted away from my creative and online hobbies and now pop back for very random posts.
